Problem Statement

Youth sports enrollment is declining, and managing team logistics is confusing and time-consuming for parents and coaches.

To present a solution to Puma, our client aims to create an app experience that simplifies youth sports management, supports coaches in working effectively with young athletes.

The Audience

Making team management and schedule easy for parents and coaches of young athletes.

Coaches need resources to better engage and support young players, focusing on holistic growth and skill-building.

Parents prioritise easy scheduling and clear communication;

• Kids are drawn to personalisation, team-oriented experience where they feel part of something special.

My role

I worked on the app‘s UI

 I primarily focused on the UI of the app under the guidance of the product manager. While I briefly contributed to UX and wireframe details, my main influence on the project was on the user interface design.

Learnings and Next Steps

For the next steps:

  • Broader testing would help refine features based on real user feedback, especially from coaches managing multiple teams and parents balancing busy schedules;
  • Exploring more customisation options, like team achievements and progress tracking, could increase engagement and motivation among young players.
